Problem not wiping data and cache white new fw - apps remain

    I upgraded from finless 1.5 to 1.8b:
    - wipe data
    - wipe cache
    - update from ext (1.8B)
    - restored apps with titanium

But because of problems with play store I "toothpicked" finless 1.8b again (with wipe data and wipe cache). After that the problems began.

The data partition got not wiped (I think and because it said so to do) because most apps were still there, and after a reboot (multiple tries because the system seems to hang), all apps get updated and presented again with the welcome screens after an new fw.

Any suggestions to correct this problem? It seems I can't wipe all data and reset.

    thx

might be bad download or install

recovery only has wipe cache & factory reset

    i suggest download another rom
    factory reset
    (includes wipe cache) in recovery
    flash that rom

    then

download 1.8b again (do fc if you can with previous download but not necessary )
    factory reset
    flash 1.8b

i found if play store doesn't show, closing current background apps with clean master & advanced task killer & close all widgets makes it reappear, probably one of them does it but as i have all 3 widgets i just quickly click all.

      Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, all apps previously installed stay installed. And I used several fw :/

Within the os I get all sorts of errors.

Is there no way to format the data partition?

Try apps like "Secure Wipe" & "Full Wipe" & similar free security apps in store.

If you succeed, factory reset & reflash rom.

        Good luck.

Very weird, apparently the box doesn't do well while it's been on for a while and is warm/hot regarding wiping the data/cache.

This morning after turning on the box and flashing, everything went well: all installed apps were removed during the flashing.
