There is an app on the Google Play Store called "Google" that isn't among the pre installed apps. Install that app and Google Now and Voice Search will start working.

first impressions pipo m9 pro rom 3.4
Hello.
I have upgraded my PIPO M9 PRO from stock rom (4.2.2) to RR 3.4.
The performance was outstanding with this new rom.
However, i have som issues.
1. GPS
With stock rom GPS work well. With this rom it takes long time to detect satelite.
GPS option does not appear in settings, only can be enabled/disabled in the widget (named location instead of GPS)
2. Problem with rotation. It simply reboots after some display rotations.
3. No multiuser option in settings. Have anyone tried install Xposed Framework with RR 3.4? Somehow multiuser works?
Thanks for all work developed in the accuracy of the rom.

So you are saying that GPS works with the stock version of THIS ROM?
I may have to check and see if anything i did made it quit working.
I can add multi user support and try to find a solution to the rotation problem...but I think that's in the kernel.Randy

Which stock ROM are you running? I made this ROM from an M7 Pro firmware.Randy

There is an app called Rotation on Google Play Store you can use to lock rotation globally, or for certain apps. Can someone test with rotation locked to see if it eliminates the reboot problem? You can also turn off auto rotation in settings.
It isn't the ultimate solution, but its a way to test to make sure rotation is the problem...for sure.Randy

Hey guys!
im not sure if its only or if ive gotten a faulty device or if there is something software related.
i keep reading that the tablet is really fast and with the latest 3.4 its faster than ever.
Im experiencing very laggish, hickups, extreme delays with mine. Ive erased and flashed mine several times before and im not sure if its my head but the m9 is it really fast?
I used to have nxmod or kkmod rom before And someother versions of rr-rom some from archtablets... If i remember correctly RR-rom which was based on 4.2.x was the quickest. Now im experiencing my ipad 2 as quicker and yes im runing ios 7 and its really slow... But in this case the M9 is extremely slow... What i have done is installed it from start, restored apps using titanium backup, xposed framework and well thats about it.. Would appreciate if someone could help out for pinpoiting whats wrong or is it in my head..
MY GF has a P1 and yes i know it has superior HW, its just that i remembered having 10 chrome tabs, updating apps and browsing the web without having to wait for google updates to run the performance all the way down to not being able to use the tablet..

Try flashing RileyROM v3.0.1 with kernel 407. I understand this is the most stable combination.Randy

Crashes don't seem to happen (often) anymore, but apps depending on GPU performance keep having problems.
Chrome crashes, Firefox pagedisplaying doesn't update with scrolling.
I think it is also related to the problem I posted earlier with WPS office. #70

First of all i like to thank Riley for the excellent work done for all pipo users.
Was my first time changing rom on any of my devices ever and everything went well.
The problem is that this rom in my pipo m9 pro is very unstable. Reboots several times without understand why and is allways saying that some services/apps stoped unexpectedly.
So im asking other pipo users what is the most stable rom for this device? Already read every posts in almost every rom but still dont know what rom should work better
Once again thank you for the great job.
Hi - I have been using RileyRom 2.6b (RileyROM 2.6 4.4.2 Kernal 3.4.0) on my M9 Pro WiFi only - I have just had only 2-3 reboots in over 3 months, battery consumption is V.good and the tablet is really usable with no lags. The tablet has never frozen and since changing to 2.6b I have never had to find a paperclip to poke the reset switch.
In fact the tablet has been so stable that I am not going to change the ROM again! - If anything I will buy a new tablet in about 4-6 months. I don't see the need to upgrade tablet or rom right now as my M9 pro working really well.
