    Octa-Core Android TV Player

    Hello,

Now that the wave of the S802 based players came and being passed on, the next one around the corner is that of RK3288 based devices. Knowing some issues about RK3288 and not sure RealTek going to address them or not, I'm thinking of waiting for the devices based on Octa-core Android TV player which could appear in the market in Q4.

What I'm really want is have a good Android TV player with solid XBMC performance. I guess the Octa-core players could probably come with Android-L.

So the question is.... does anyone know any manufactures making Octa-core Android TV players and their probable market availability?

    Thanks

I'm waiting for Allwinner Octa core A80. It's Cortex A15/A7 with GPU PowerVR G6230. Latest I've heard this Octa cores CPU from CubieTech but it's a development board not finish product like MiniX or Tronsmart. I've never have development board before I don't know how good compare to those finish product. However I hope for open source should help for community development. I had MK808B before. The real hurt was RK903 WIFI has no open source to make good ROM.

Any idea if it supports or will support Android L?

I'm looking forward to see an Octa-core SoC with Android L support and an OEM product based on them to buy my next TV player.
