    com.android.media slowing down Minix

    Hi all,

I have problem caused by the process com.android.media that is slowing down my Minix.
When I connect an external usb Hard Disk this process keeps running for hours slowing down the system.
I googled around and found that probably this is a process that scans media files and it takes so long because there are many media files of the hard disk.
I tried to stop from running applications the media related applications and also tried to put a ".nomedia" file in the folders of the Hard Disk to avoid media scanning, but nothing worked.
Am I the only one facing this problem ? Do you have any suggestion on how to stop this process ?
Thank you in advance for your support.

Freeze this apk with titanium backup or android tuner etc.
I also use a hard disk and i had the same problem.
This system apk always search for new media files to renew the media lists.
    just freeze this.

      Well..
      in the past..
I used 'rescan media root' by talpada
It gives you the option to disable scan for new media.. and do a manual/re-enable scan when needed
-off course you need root.. to use any of these tools stated

      goodluck
