The official update for the Nextbook 8 (NX785QC8G) breaks internal storage.
Thanks to Freaktab user wiseman9871 for this fix:
1. Boot into Android
2. Open Settings app
3. Choose Backup & Reset
4. Choose Factory data reset
5. Check the Erase SD card option
6. Choose Reset tablet
This process performs a full wipe of Data and Cache and erases the contents of the internal SD card, but it makes the internal SD card mountable again.
