Tv box / chipset reccomendation

Hi all

i have been happily using my rk3188 pipo m8 pro tablet for xbmc & love it.

i connect it to my tv via HDMI , it works well. I've tried a few different xbmc builds / versions and I like it.


am I going to get better performance out of a dedicated tv box? If so what performance upgrade can I expect? Better picture sound, speed?

If so can someone reccomend me a tv box / chip set that is optimum for this.

will a tv box be better than a tablet when linked to my tv?

Yes, there are a few tv-boxes that are better (isn't that allways the case)

My advice
If you are happy.. then keep your setup..
-in a few months prices will drop, hollydays and lots of new boxes to choose from.. (rk3288-s802-s805-s812-A80-.. )

thanks, I think you made some very valid points. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

i decided to stick with what I got and just get a fancy remote BUT as I was wondering round singapore today I saw a minix x8-h in the shop with the giro remote for 200 sing ( about 160usd) so I got it.
