I made a post about comparing kernels right? I found all #338 kernels were the same excpet the boot image right? Well I took those #338's all from different ROMs posted. Like in4dealz, etc.
Well, the Yuandao stock ROM has a kernel in boot.img and recovery.img. It has no kernel.img!
So doing this speed testing I pulled the kernel out of boot.img of the stock Yuandao ROM and low and behold, it is different than all the other kernel.img #338's I have compared against! The freakin date is the same but they do not match and not just the boot logo area!
So I think we have a kernel #338 that might be what we need to be using! I always questioned where the hell kernel #485 came from as it is not supplied by Yuandao!
I have a lot more work to do now and figure out what is going on. Bottom line I think I am going to go back to #338 and Yuandao stock ROM for future ROMs. FYI Antutu shows the best perfomrance on the stock Yaundao #338 kernel!
