Hi I was reading the posts on this problem No HDMI From Box Brand New . I got my box about 3 weeks ago tried the push cable in vey hard with both hands and twisted it got a start screen, you know 2 menu choices . I had to let go to operate mouse and the screen went black. opened box found the the solder on the 4 posts a little shy so I soldered them and back of hdmi port metal tab bent up and the plastic port pushed out I pushed it back and bent down the tab which broke off . I thought some epoxy would stop the port from moving still no hdmi. Do the 18 or so pins on the back of the hdmi port need to be soldered to the board it looks like there is no solder now just friction contacts. I may try this if I can get the epoxy off with heat gun . If I can remove HDMI port from the board does any one know the specs for the replacement. Sending this back to geekbuying is pain in the ass also they may not warranty and not send it back. Your help would be appreciated I was able to update using AV port to Finless 1.8 rom still no hdmi . Looks like this box works fine just no hdmi thanks Larry

Apparently the hdmi dieing is not uncommon for these devices.
There also a good chance it wasn't the port that was the failure but the hdmi itself

Unfortunately the minute you opened the box and started messing around you killed the warranty.

I got a brand new one only used for three days when the hdmi suddenly cut out mid video.
