    Tronsmart UI

    Hi guys,

I bought a Tronsmart Vega S89-H device recently and I want to optimize my experience and make it more suitable for the TV. I just installed TV Launcer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...awe.dev.pro.tv) and I really think that it's a perfect fit for my TV screen. It's simple and the usability with the remote feels excellent. However there are two things that I really hate about my Tronsmart UI experience - the notification bar and the application switcher.

The notification bar is really uncontrollable with the remote - even if I switch to Mouse Mode i cannot slide it down. The only way to use it is to plug a mouse to one of the USB ports and then clean the notifications. And there are quite of few of them since all of the files that I download leave a notification.

The application is also bad - first I have to enable the android footer with all of the buttons - take a screenshot, back, home, app switcher, etc., then I have to go into Mouse mode, go to the app I want to close, hold the OK button and select the Remove app from there. I will really like an interface that handles that situation i a more simple matter when using the remote. It will be great if I can hold down the OK button on the remote and go to the App Switcher instantly for example. I found Fast App Switcher (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...lapp.recentapp) that does something similar to what I want but it doesn't work on the Tronsmart Vega.

Have you found some workarounds for those issues? How does your Tronsmart looks and feels? What are the applications and extensions that you use in order to achieve this?

    Thanks in advance.

Will it work with an iPhone? Currently I don't own an Android one.

Let's not turn this into a platform war thread please. I really want to know how other customized their Vega's.

I agree the stock UI isn't the best. The TV Launcher is nice, but I recommend getting an airmouse with a keyboard. It's a game changer. Or if you don't want to buy anything extra, you can setup your box to boot directly to XBMC and you can set up XBMC to open android apps. XMBC works really well with the stock Tronsmart remote and also hides notification bar. This is what i do for netflix, hulu, Chrome, Gmail, emulators.
