    Measy RC11 airmouse keymapping

Quick fix to get the RC11 airmouse working on the X8-H.

Unzip the attached and copy to /system/usr/keylayouts and change perms to RW/R/R. Restart

    Maps
    F4 - home
    F5 - mail
    F6 - music
    F7 - media prev
    F8 - media play/pause
    F9 - media next
    F10 - mute
    F11 - vol down
    F12 - vol up

    Plus as a bonus
    F1 - media stop
    F2 - app switch menu
    F3 - context menu

Needs root. Bob - any chance of putting this in your ROM?

    Thanks for that it works.

Also got a RC8. That don't work. Where did you get the kl file?

This is for RC11 and works fine on my beta 7 with the Finless tweaker. I made the kl file myself. Make sure you change the perms and restart the box for it to take effect.

You can use https://github.com/chrisboyle/keytest/downloads to check the keypresses map to the file and run cat /proc/bus/input/devices from a terminal app to find out the vendor and product of your remote

I'm interested in remapping all of my various remotes to work on my minix x7. Can you make a video to show how to do this? Or maybe a step by step guide. It sound difficult form a non coder or noob point of view. Can you make more then one file in the android folder for all your remotes? Each remote has its own file?

Not sure if I can do a video but I'll see what I can do to help with screenshots. It's pretty easy. I'm not a coder, and I've done the same for my MK908ii. You can indeed make one file per remote.

Someone else has kindly done a guide http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post213948 you'll need a terminal app, plus Keytest and something like ES File Explorer, and a rooted device. Good luck!
