    Pipo P1 RileyROM 1.1 (RK3288)

It's time for an official RileyROM for Pipo's latest tablet, the P1 9.7" with the RK3288 processor. I want to thank my friends at Geekbuying.com for providing me this tablet to develop. Once they were able to get this tablet in stock...their service to me was perfect.

This ROM is based on official Pipo firmware dated 7/28/14.

I'm using the new flash tool from Rockchip for this ROM, so the terminology and look will be just a little bit different than my RK3188 ROM's.

    1. Download the ROM Kit for your version (wifi or 3g).
    2. Unzip the kit on your desktop, or wherever you downloaded it.
    3. Open the AndroidTool.exe
    4. With your tablet turned on, with USB debugging turned off (in settings), plug in the USB cable. Be sure to always use the USB cable that came with the tablet.
    5. Make sure the USB drivers are installed for the Rockchip device. (see the First Time User's Guide for details, if you are having trouble)
    6. You should see the tablet recognized by "Found One MSC Device" in the bottom of the tool.
    7. Click the Flash Mode button to reboot the tablet to flash mode. The screen will turn black.
    8. Click Erase IDB. It will count to 100% (very quickly).
    9. Click Flash ROM
    10. When the flash is finished, the tablet will boot into stock recovery and will format your partitions.
    11. First boot will take a little longer than usual...just be patient and watch the boot animation.
    12. Once the tablet boots to the system...you will have a fresh, rooted system to work with.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    English as default language
    init.d support added
    Busybox commands added
    Google Play Store fixes added
    Reboot app by Petrus
Your choice of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12gb user app space (select the parameter file you want to flash)

    Download Wifi Only Version

    Download 3G Version

    Enjoy!!!!

    Please.....Don't forget to donate.

        Many thanks!!!

Installed and only tested a few minutes. Noticed the following:

        - I can now install Google Keep, Flightradar24 PRO etc. It was not possible (for me) on stock ROM.
        - It's now rooted by default.
        - Antutu gave me 41383.

        ..and now donated!

Thank you so much for this ROM. I particularly love the partition for apps can be 12 gig which was what I chose. Before I ran out of space on the punny 2 gig /data partition quickly. That was the worse weakness of the P1. Thanks again. Donated.

Is there a way to flash your ROM using Ubuntu?

I've never done it, but I think there is a Linux flash tool. Let me see if I can provide you a link.

Thanks, I'll try to use it, I just don't know which images(all of them?) to flash to get the same result as using the tool you provide.

I have a P4 ROM ready to go as soon as someone gets a tablet to test it on.

Since I haven't used it, I couldn't really give you further instructions.

For me it works fine to flash with Windows since I can borrow a a laptop from the office and now I have flashed with RileyROM 1.1, so I'm good. But optimal would be to flash future ROMs with Ubuntu. So if you figure out how it works, please consider sharing the info.
I will not have time to trial & error it, myself.

I consider it a challenge. As I get time, I will research and test this process.
