Hi jolund, rooting the mk809iii on older firmware is easy, but it fails on the latest kitkat firmware... issues with the SU binaries.

Am waiting for an updated root myself, have gone back to 4.2 for now.

I've got the same SU binaries issues with 4.4.2. I'm gonna flash 4.2 version.

Do you know any optimized custom rom which works with the newest RTL8723BS wifi chip?

Sadly no, I haven't found anything yet that works.

Did you ever find a way to root your MK809III as I'm in the same boat?
