N101-II official ROM in hands!

FYI, I got home today from work and got a PM from (name not disclosed) that gave me a link to a full update.img for the N101-II "current" Yuandao ROM! They asked I do not disclose sorry SO DONT ASK!

I downloaded it which was suprisingly fast! Obviously not a public server?

Anyway, I now have in my hands what I consider an official ROM.

Is it just me or are there WAY TOO MANY ROMS coming out for this thing almost daily! Now we have the -2 model to deal with

OK right off the bat! I had to take this apart and remove kernel from boot.img so I could flash this on my -1 model using a kernel that works with my -1.

It is different for sure from Piers ROM dump!

Status bar is not as big nor are the icons on it. Something I can tell you the ROM DUMP from Piers, the status bar is larger and was a problem for things like web browsers as it cut off the bottom.

Also it has the stuff on it like ALL Yuandao "stock" ROMs. GO launcher and all the China apps!

This is the change! It is later than the ROM dump! Happens to be my Birthday date too

Everything I got in the zip was Chinese file names. So I edited the file names and added the RKbatch tool. It was the IMG only and some folders with nothing in them and some DOC files. Again all in double byte file names.

It is uploading now.

I am going to close this post now that I know for sure what I have, and make a new post for the ROM.
