I have the Pipo M8 Pro, and I have been very happy with it overall. I did load a custom Riley rom from this site, and the Kitkat makes it much smoother than the original rom.

The M8 Pro and the M8 Pro HD have the same case, which is very thin and compact. The HD version has the 10.1" screen, which is better ...bigger screen ...same case. They are both powered by the RK3188, which is now showing it's age a bit.

I like my Pipo, but if I was buying today, I would look at the Cube Talk 9x.
* Same size (width and height) case as the Pipo M8 Pro & HD
* Thinner
* More powererful cpu/gpu combo.
* Better battery life
* 9.7" retina screen

So with the Cube you get a 9.7" in the same compact form as the Pipo M8 Pro & HD.
9.7" actually gives more screen size than 10.1" due to format.

It has more power. It has Kitkat loaded already. Slim and trim and well built. It would be my choice today.

No problem at all and with the last Randy version everything works perfectly

Very true. Having the custom roms available from Randy give Pipo a definite advantage over other brands.

His KitKat rom for my Pro has made it the best China tab I have owned so far.

Could you tellme, which RR Kitkat rom are you using? And doesnt it have problems? Like camera,wifi,battery..and so? so not buggy?

Finally, i gave it a try to updated to kitkat (mostly you guys said,its great.. i had problems with stock: low wifi, videoplayback problems and i know that the hardware should playback easily 1080p.)
Its really great, so far!! Just the new keyboard press-sound is weird to me can it be something else? may as it was in jb?

well,thats made me really sad. That was one of the great features that it had,why i bought it. That multiwindow stuff is not the same - although, i thank you of course-.
And cant be more homescreen and lock "screen widget" ?

I do not have the HD model. Mine is the M8 Pro ...the 9.4" screen.

That said, my rom is RileyROM 2.2 4.4.2.

No bugs ...ALL is good. I thought I had an issue with it refusing to come out of deep sleep, but I realized I was rushing the re-start. I learned to just press the power button one time and wait. I have had a number of times where it took about 2 or 3 seconds to wake.

In my opinion is a too old tablet to be bought today.
No more support on RK3188 CPU will be done by Pipo.
I think it's a good choice only if bought by second hand with a price less than 140€...

With 150€+ you can buy a lot more powerful tablets, and also better built than this one!

Yes you will always have more power in 1 month or 6 months later.

But with the last rom we have on M8HD, you have a good tablet. The screen is beautiful, the size is perfect for me (10.1" , 16/10). the design is great. Everything runs fine (even 3D Games : I don't play very much though)

Yes we can have a powerfull GPU (cpu is enough, could it be better of course)

Pipo M8HD Wifi is about 190 € now

What I search now, is a tablet with correct sensors, camera and wifi : I think this is the point that Pipo must work on it. Just changing CPU by a 3288, it's not enough so will waiting next year to change.
