Need help: Minix X8-H issue with icons and screen size looking so big

I've play around with 1080p 60hz/24hz and 720 and it does get nice and bright going from 60 to 24hz not really sure what I should have it on if you could explain that. My tv is a Samsung 720 television.

But my main issue is the icons and all of the desktop look so big. What can I do about this if anything? When I use to go hdmi to TV from Windows of course I could adjust it then.

it is pretty big i use a launcher where i can set how many icons per line and how big in % i would the icons to be.
