M8 recovery issues....can't flash.....goes straight to the green android

    Hi there
I'm running lifeforces' rom on the square M8 and was going to upgrade to finless1.8 when in the middle of the factory reset wipe of data and cache the power went out.
It booted back into lifeforce and still runs but now the recovery menu won't come up if I use the toothpick method or the update and backup app.
It just goes straight to the green android screen, no text is displayed, the blue progess bar scrolls and scrolls. Looks like something is happeneing but after 24hrs nothing has changed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Might be a temporary file in the root of your internal Memory.

    Install app: total commander

See what files (not folders) are in your root of: SD Card (it's actually internal memory)

    Don't delete anything yet.

If you can not figure it out, you can flash ROM again or TWRP recovery which is better than original recovery anyway, see my recent thread here on TWRP, by using method 2 in link below: USB Burning Tool:

        still no joy

        thanks for replying washere
so i found out the sd port is dead. it won't mount. usb works good with my drives
can't connect with usb burning tool or the mobo app
maybe my usb cable is no good, i'll get another, but the usb powers up the m8 all by itself, no power supply needed but i still used one. tried powering up with and without the reset button and burning tool up on pc.
and yeah i thought there must be some file i could delete or overwrite, i know just enough about linux to be dangerous, but i see only folders in the internal sd card root using total commander
seems like the 3e recovery is wacked, goes straight to a busy andy
cleared the cache, didn't help, what about mkfs /cache, not sure what type of file system though diskinfo says ext4
and it still boots into lifeforce so it's not a brick yet
        LOL

          1*
          File Transfer

+ you can transfer files via Total Commander's Lan Network Plugin
          + that's what i do anyway
+ takes few minutes to setup

+ you can also upload / download from cloud storage, dropbox, zippyshare, mediafire .....

          2* Flashing ROM

+ Download 1.8 to your box with web browser
          + flash:
