N101 not opening up

I got my Yuandao n101 on 25/7/2012 from an UK supplier. It worked fine, yesterday I downloaded some family music, and played it.
I put the tablet on charge overnight and tried to start it.
I get the Android Logo, with Dual core tablet PC. It goes no further.

Can you help me,

If no, then you may have to try and flash the ROM again.

What model do you have? e.g. -1 or -2?

I think it will be the first model ie 1.
I am 80 years young and have been using computers since 1979 at school. Do you think that I will be able to Flash the Rom again. I downloaded your article on the 1.6 rom, but got lost when I tried to download from the Yuandao site, the article was in Chinese
Grateful for any help, as the tablet when working seemed to be ideal.

I think you should be OK. I have full instructions int he readme.txt in my ROM download. FOllow them and you will be OK. Biggest problem some people have is getting the drivers installed.

Bob, when I paste your address for the stock firmware from Yuandao it comes up in Chinese. How do I get the English version?
If I flash the rom, will it invalidate any warranty that I have?

Bob, thanks for the help, but I am stuck being unable to get in English the Yuandao stock firmware, as your address gives the Chinese version.

Bob, sorry if I am showing my age, I did not mean it was your own address, but the address in your read me file. An important step to carry out before tackling the ROM upgrade. I have tried many times to get an English version of the firmware but have failed, hence my frustration.

The firmware from Yuandao is not a english version. You flash it, then go in and change the language. They do not offer a "English" version.

Yes the site is SLOW. But I have stated this already. I supply the same ROM here in this post for you to download from here:

This is the same version as the 0804 on Yuandao (the latest ROM they have for download).

Hi! Try installing chrome in your computer....when you go to bob's link, in a chinese page, it will apear automatically a "translate from chinese" optin....translation is not 100ok.....but it will help
