Are you using xbmc named SPMC libmedia edition?
Have you enabled 5.1 inside spmc? and passthrough

after try with SPMC libmedia edition and libmedia.so ( libmediaNeoX7Fw007Patched )
the 5.1 no pass with xbmc (SPMC)
I think the file is not suitable for my MK888 , the sound driver it's RK1000

with es player , 5.1 is good by spdif , but i no video

how to play movie with SPMC and sound out 5.1 spdif ?

Are you sure you place the lib at the right directory (/system/lib)?
I don't know, with which XBMC version this patch works...

for the moment i can read ( listen ) movies 5.1 with es explorer but the screen is black.

I think NAS is only able via XBMC because of missing CIFS and NFS at kernel.
Have you tried to install MX Player (don't use hw+)?

with hw+ ,screen ok, but no 5.1
and no hw+ ,screen black , and 5.1 is ok

for the NAS , this is NFS , with xbmc ( or SPMC ) , good 1080p this fluid is
