Early Pipo M9 - Custom Rom Options?

    Hi,

Am seemingly getting myself confused about what rom I should be looking to move to for my Pipo M9. The main advantage I'm looking for is the increased partition size but assuming the only way to get this is via a custom rom.

I think my tablet is an early build and I'm not sure I can use the Rom's here or not? Would welcome some advice if at all possible!

Here are some details from the tablet:

    Model: M9
    Android 4.1.1

    Kernal:
    3.0.36+
    root@lzj-desktop#54

    Build Number:
    RK31_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.00
    rk30sdk-eng4.1.1 JRO03H 20130416.164819

This will be my first steps into the custom rom world so being really cautious!

    Thanks in advance.

    Pro or Max

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this for me?

Do I have a Pro or a Max or something else? Just looking for which Rom I should be going with.

    Thanks in advance.

You do have an M9 Max...NOT Pro.

And yes, you do have a very early version.

The only way to tell for sure is to carefully remove the back of the tablet and see if it has one or two NAND chips. There is actually a KitKat ROM for each...but you risk bricking your tablet if you flash the wrong one.

My KitKat ROM is for tablets with 2 NAND chips. Dnkn has a ROM for the 1 NAND chip version.

        Thanks

Thanks for the reply rrileypm - knew this wouldn't be as easy as I was hoping!

Maybe I'll just live with it as is, I don't want to bust the cover and certainly don't want to risk bricking the tablet.

        Thanks again.
