Arnova 10b g3 10.1 inch multitouch help

Hello All

im kinda new to this so please bear with me , i installed a custom rom on my tablet and it was running rather slowly and found i could not do certain things.

i have been trying out most of the stock roms on this site and all have flashed ok but i have had certain problems with them. i found this to be the best one

unfortunatly the rotate screen didnt work even though it was enabled.

all i am trying to do is restore my tablet back to its origanal rom any help would be much appreciated

i'm presuming you tried to flash back using the usual method & rktools? I'm not sure why it would not work for you - its the same process as loading a custom, but make sure you erase idb before flashing, etc.

If this doesn't work for you I did find that the stock dump from arctablet can be loaded using the rocktools1.4 program - which is slightly different. IF you grab that rom you will find it is a simple update.img - erase idb first using the 1.4 tools then load the rom & hit restore rather than update - this will then load the stock rom back.

Both methods do the same thing essentially. Hope this helps. But am very surprised that you find the custom slower than stock - in my experience it is the complete opposite. Have you tired snakekiller's latest creation, bloody fantastic!

I did use the rktools and erased the idb as well im as confused as to why i had problems as well.

However i have not tried Snakekillers latest creation so i will give it a go.

I truly recommend you do try the new rom, and i'm not just buttering up to Snakekiller either!

The latest rom truly is great - fast, stable, responsive, and he's a fab developed who, like bob, answers questions or bugs very quickly! I've not been around here long but found this to be such a great site where everyone is involved.

I really, truly, suggest you give the latest rom a stab before you switch back to stock. You've got the stock from so a day or so's play with the latest won't do any harm, plus you can do cwm backups with this baby to keep everything safe in case of explosion / human error!

Just loaded ROM - Arnova 10b G3 - SnakeKiller ICS 4.0.4 EXT4 with CWM (191 megs)

running superbly ! its fast flicking through menus and the screen rotate works and everything seems good.

whilst i have you guys on here i have trouble with the netflix app it allows me to log in but when i select a video it does nothing.

have you come across this before ?

even with stockrom is netflix a problem.

I've heard of some issues - seem to be across a number of different roms as well. Same thing applies to things such as bbc iplayer regardless of what version of flash you have on board.

Not sure of a resolution to be honest. I know xbmc for android doesn't support netflix; but taking a look around I found some suggestions here , and also a suggestion on another forum that if you go onto your netflix account & change the settings from HD to HQ this also helps matters.

I don't have a netflix account so cannot verify, but just trying to help where I can.
