Orbsmart S82 (AML S802-H) - 108k4 - XBMC13.1 - Video Stuttering, HDMI errors and strange playback

Hi there,
First of all thanks to all of you who are developing (Oman, Stane, Finless, Leolas etc) these AMLogic boxes further. You guys are awesome!
I think I’ve read nearly every single thread related to AMLogic S802 based devices.
I just received my Orbsmart S82 (= Tronsmart S89-H for Germany).

What I’ve done:
FW updated to 108k4 (prerootet), XBMC=13.1, Media distributed via NAS (ds214Play) with wired 200mbit dLAN.
Issues:

1. XBMC shows in System information video output is 1080p@60Hz. I change Android display settings to 1080p @ 50Hz as this is the standard for my region. Even though the settings have been changed, XBMC still reports 1080p @ 60Hz?!? Answer: Display resolution shows 1080p@60Hz but the fps shown in brackets are the interesting ones for playback and those are correct.
2. Video playback in XBMC of ANY mkv file is stuttering. Every second there is a little stutter. It also seems to be really unsmooth if there are some longer camera pans. Answer: I need to select 1080p 24p under android settings manually. Everything runs smooth now.

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

EDIT
I didn't see it on the first attempt as it is not sorted behind 1080p, it's at the bottom of the drop down list behind 4k. Probably it would make sense to sort it behind 1080p - if this is feasible..

Yeah but it's incredible that after so many time on my RPi on 1080p with zero lag on all kinds of format/resolution, i come to android and i have to switch refresh rate setting every time i change type of video.
