I also ordered a replacement battery for my Pipo Max M9 (not the newer, Pro model) following an abrupt fall in charge levels on the factory fit ones, a bit over a year after buying the tablet.

I also ordered the replacement from Bangood.com, but delivery to the UK took well over a month. I guess for under £25 including delivery, it's still good value, for batteries that appear almost identical to the factory ones and thus have the same rated capacity.

Got my father to solder the terminal wires from the new ones onto the PCB, having first soldered off those from the old batteries, powered the tablet on without charging first, and it was already showing 80% charge. So a considerable improvement over the old ones which I could never get over about 45% and the charge would generally fall away quite fast from this level after just a few minutes' use.

But I almost immediately have a new frustration, as a result of the first problem; the PCB buttons for the home and power buttons have become damaged. It is clearly a skilly business re-attaching the rear cover (to which the speakers and grilles are attached) to the screen and PCB assembly.

Almost certainly carelessness on my part, but I still think it's far too easy to do this.

Wondering if I also need to admit defeat and replace my tablet.

Frustratingly there's nothing else whatsoever wrong with it - Riley's KitKat ROM works a treat, as does the WiFi with good reception and the system performance is pretty good as well.
