MK808B Version help please and firmware to flash

Could anyone please help me to identify which versions these are wether or not they are clones and which firmware to flash. i have 1 which i cant get out of mask rom mode adn i keep getting ibd download fail the other i have tried various different roms but get either no signal or 2 x penguins. im at the end of my tether. i bricked both of these by applying CWM via external memory card they both have rockchip 3066 and heatsink on otherside

Did you try both version 1 and 2?

yeah i tried with both and even put it into maskrom mode, in sunvell i get 2 penguins on screen on the other i get nothing

Those are the MTK wireless chipsets, give the 4.4.2 Kit Kat ROM here a try

thanks shomari, have just flashed it and just get a blank screen. could it be my kernal is locked and can only flash whatever was on it before?

No the kernel partition doesn't lock; but if you crapped the partitions by flashing CWM wrongly you might have to redownload your device parameter and loader in mask mode then try flashing an appropriate ROM again.

The likely reason some of these flashes are failing is the device might not have the right partition layout.

There's a factory MTK ROM for the MK808B you probably haven't tried. I'll link it here later when I get some time

i have tried the firmware in last link, it gets as far as downloading firmware then fails at the end

i have tried again this morning at flashing rom and put it into maskrom mode but still only get as far as downloading firmware before it fails. could this be due to wrong partition size on nand and if so could someone point me to a guide that would show me how to change it please

Hi guys I finally found a working pre rooted rom for this which worked on both of my boxes and both working fine, will put a link in shortly for anyone else struggling as I did
