Issues Flashing RileyROM to Pipo M6 PRO

    Hey Everyone,

I've been having an issue trying to get the 4.4 rileyrom flashed to my PIPO M6 Pro. I first tried on Windows 7 that may have already had a rockchip device plugged in with auto-fetch drivers enabled- during that attempt, I couldn't get the RileyRom tool to even see the device, and device manager would only show rockchip device under disk drives. After doing a new (completely fresh) install of Windows 8.1, I tried again from the instant I was able to log in. This time, the RileyRom tool sees my M6 Pro, but is unable to boot to flash mode. I followed the instructions for manually booting the tablet into flash mode as linked in the instruction PDF, but it doesn't seem like anything I do can get it to work. The most I've gotten is recovery mode, but at that point the RileyRom app doesn't see the tablet anymore.

Does anyone have any clue as to how I can get my M6 Pro into flash mode? Any help is appreciated.

    Chris

Win 8.1 is not supported by rockchip so you cannot flash it under this OS.

Well, that would explain it. For Windows 7, where the tablet would only show up as a disk drive, is that because I have preexisting drivers, or something else?

      Thanks for your insight.

        With tablet switched off:
        connect the USB,
        open the flash tool
press power AND volume + togheter

        you're in flash mode now
