M8 0807 new firmware!

Tomato technology's M8 New firmware is opend. FW date is august 7 2014.
My Acemax M8 box is updated OK.

However, my M8 can not samba network streaming via my windows7 PC. But, my MX TV box can samba streaming.
My M8 has bug or troubled goods?

FW is quite fast , comes with xbmc 13.2 Beta Kernel compiled 30/07 ...I have tried both XBMC 13.1 and 13.2beta video interlacing Problem still there...

If you download the FW and extrac it, You can see the FW name is 20140807.

Well if it still has interlacing issue might as well stay with finless 1.7

is anyone else having random reboots after this firmware has been installed?

Randomly Xbmc will reboot and sometime it even deletes all your settings.. it super awesome!

I am using this firmware and no problems so far, except the interlacing issue with some streaming content from XBMC. Though I normally stream from sopcast or acestream, and it's fine, so not a problem for me. I don't use XBMC too much,

It seems there is a new v2 version of ths firmware. No idea about a changelog, if someone wants to try.

ill try this and report back. ive also hassled my ENY rep to do a new firmware with the 13.2 FINAL so hopefully theyll have that by tomorrow

Well, I’ve never came to a situation that I could relate to android or M8 directly.

However, XBMC is another thing.
I bought a box (let’s say, an ENY M8 clone) and XBMC had problem with “original” firmware.

I upgraded to Finless 1.8 and still was problems playing video, mostly video not even started, but could add video source via SMB shares (in my case, a WD My Cloud).

Now, downgraded to Finless 1.7 (because of these interlace problems) and cannot access SMB shares anymore via File Manager or Add Video Sources menus. However, I can access my previously build database and it refresh all right with new video I put there (?!?!?).

So… the problem is XBMC itself. I repeat, never came to a problem I could directly relate to bad hardware or firmware even with original one.

If XBMC (should I say Kodi?) solves this problem, this box should became an irreplaceable media center in years to come.
