Powerline ethernet the answer to poor X7 wifi

I tried and tried to get acceptable wifi on my x7. I have a Linksys EA4500 900Mbps router connected to a docsis 3.0 modem with a 50 Mbps internet connection. Wifi on the X7 20 feet away was always spotty at best. My gamer son gets super fast connection with his 900 Mbps wireless adapter upstairs in his room. So i decided to spend $30 to try out a powerline ethernet adapter. I have used powerline technology for controlling lights in my house for many many years so I figured its a matured technology. I bought this TP-Link TL-PA4010kit AV 500 Mbps nano starter kit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833704165 ...I love it! First speedtest.net test I did was 65 Mbps. All subsequent tests were between 33 and 39 Mbps. Streaming XBMC working great now.
Has Anyone else had experiences with these devices or the wireless extenders that also use this technology?

Wise choice, I have been using Homeplug (as it is often called here in the UK) for well over 7 years - cannot remember when I bought my first pair. Have my 27" iMac hooked up to my Virgin SuperHubs2 (60Mbps connection) and I regularly hit 62Mbps with Speedtest

      powerline/homeplug wifi experiences?

Anyone ever use the powerline/homeplug wifi extenders?  I have proven the powerline/homeplug ethernet extender works well and it is now plugged into my minix x7 on a wall with no ethernet wire.  Unfortunately I still need more wifi signal in my upstairs bedroom on the other end of my house for tablets and such.  What is the best way to extend my linksys ea4500 router signal to the other end of my house.  I do have a direct ethernet connection there so i dont necessarily have to use the powerline/homeplug technology.

You want one of these to go along with what you already have.

it will not only give you 2 ethernet ports into that room but it will also duplicate the wifi signal fully in that location. It is not a booster but a clone of the wifi so it starts full speed.
