I am downloading the ROM again. File I had was corrupt.

So now that I am doing that again, not sure it will be tonight. If the download is bad again, I will need another image download. I will let you know.

Are you sure this is a a stock ROM?
I do not like working with other peoples modded stuff!

ROM is done and everything works!

This Aoson must be almost identical hardware to the Yuandao N101!!! Why? Because this ROM boots on my Yuandao N101
This includes the touch screen working AND wifi....
So I was able to fully test this ROM.
Lucky you.

Stay tuned. I will have an upload and post for the ROM.

No normal user would've dared to try a ROM meant for some other device.. so thanks again!

Just to clarify, yours is the initial version of the N101 right?

Yes I have a Yuandao N101-1 (first model).

I had to use my kernel for the yuandao of course to make this Aoson ROM work. It booted with the Aoson kernel but I had no screen. But it did boot! When I used the yuandao kernel it boots and EVERYTHING WORKS!

I have to tell the Yuandao guys about this as this ROM has some features in it not in the Yuandao ROM like HDMI control, etc! Hell it may even fix some of the problems the Yuandao n101-1 has still like battery in sleep issues.

So doing this ROM may in fact help the N101 folks! Testing will show but I am going to tell them about it and see what people find.

I am uploading the ROM now. It will be ready in about 1 hour.



Also PLEASE help me help others. The README I edited best I could but since I do not have this tablet could you PLEASE help me update the README instructions once you try it.

Superb. I have a few questions, if you don't mind.

How did you realize that your tablet did boot, if you had no screen? Just wondering. Also, would it be possible for us to flash an N101 ROM, and then only the Aoson kernel after that, instead of packaging the kernel into one full fledged ROM?
Lastly, looks like the kernel is included in recovery.img (>9MB). Is it possible to extract it from there?

I knew it booted because ADB came up on my PC and using my flash tool I was able to use the "reboot to flash mode" button

My ROMs do not come as a update.img. They come with another flash tool I made called RK Android Tool(which I notice the custom Aoson ROM on slatedroid uses ).

I have already extracted the kernel from boot.img and recovery.img which is a MUST DO for CWM to work properly. So my ROM kit will have a seperated kernel.img now. So you are FREE to use my tool and flash say a Yuandao ROM using your kernel.img. If it worked on mine, then it should work the other way around.

May I know how you managed to extract the kernel? Sorry I hope you don't mind.

And yeah, I was reading a little on the RockChip thread, where you talked about the parameters file. Since this stock ROM was made for a 16GB Aoson, how much memory does you N101 show now? Just wondering, again Thank you!!!!!
