Why start two threads on the same subject?

Usually it is the USB connection that causes that. Make sure you are using Pipo's cable.

I'm mobile...so I can't look it up, but I noticed a post last night from tinydeal with the upgrade instructions for flashing factory firmware. It uses a different tool...but there are new rk drivers for the 3288. There is a download link on that thread. You might try them and see if it makes a difference.

If the custom ROM is going to brick at tablet, it will do it immediately. The tablet won't boot at all if there is a problem with the firmware. Since my ROM is pretty much rooted stock, with very little changed and very little removed, and others have reported the ROM works fine for them, I'm thinking that Amasterman's problem is a hardware problem...maybe a NAND memory failure or a CPU/GPU failure. Other users are reporting problems with the battery charging circuit, too...which could also have failed. I have experienced this on an M8 Pro tablet and was never able to bring it back to life.

The reason I'm thinking hardware is the problem is that as stated in post #1, he was using the tablet for an hour before the tablet failed. Since he was running everything at stock tolerances, no overclocking or underclocking or any other power related tweaks in place, it has to be something wrong in the hardware.

that's a reasonable guess. i think it makes sense to allow the unit time to burn in a little. he didn't have the tablet that long either. usually if things break, they will break early on.

hi riley, can confirm its not the rom, they are always quality that keeps pipo selling outside china. electronics engineer had a look and its a hardware fault.

regards and respect for the rom
