    Download Firmware Fail

    Hi

I got this MK808B from **** in July. It had 4.1 and from the seller I got a 4.2 image from this link they provided:
    百度网盘为您提供文件的网络备份、同步和分享服务。空间大、速度快、安全稳固,支持教育网加速,支持手机端。注册使用百度网盘即可享受免费存储空间

I used RKBatchTool v1.5 to flash it but when it was about to finish I got this Download Firmware Fail message and now the thing doesn't seem to work, I connect it and the blue light is on but the TV doesn't receive a signal.
I am attaching images of my device so maybe you can help with a stock 4.1 ROM or a 4.2 ROM that works for this device.

    UPDATE:
    I installed the ROM in:

It seemed to have installed successfully but when I connect it to a VGA PC monitor (using a HDMI to VGA adapter) there is no image and monitor doesn't detect the MK. I assume it should work using the VGA monitor, right?
It means I only need the correct ROM, right?

I think the hdmi to vga adapter could be the problem. Was the original (4.1) ROM working with the same monitor setup?

Recovery screen can sometimes use a different resolution, so you can try to see if that shows up (remove power to the mk808b, hold the reset button down then connect the power cord without letting go of the button).

It looks like it has the mediatek wifi chip. I would avoid testing fully overclocked ROMs as the max OC runs very hot and according to another member of freaktab, it requires extra cooling. The kitkat rom that you flashed has a huge thread with some troubleshooting info: "I always do my testing of OC kernels connected to PC because it gives the most consistent, sufficient juice/current."

Blank screen could just mean that your version MK808B does not work with that ROM for some reason, so
I think it would be best to find someone with the identical version mk808b (who hopefully shared a ROM download link) in the stickied "identifying clones" thread.

      Hi

I tested with my tv when I got.home ans the same thing, no image and blue light on. No image when in recovery either.

I tried flashing the suggested ROM by seller and did installed but still nonimage. At this point I am trying with all ROMs I can find. I also posted in that thread you mentioned but no reply yet. Somebody posted images of my same device but I don't understand what they did to fix it.

      thanks

        Look at this thread: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...kernel-file%29
This device looks like yours. Try to flash the stock rom from post #9.

          Hi

thanks, I think it should work, but I don't know how to flash that. I used RKBatchTool before but it seems I have to use ROM_Flash_Tool with this one, and I don't know how to use it. I'd appreciate your help...

          Thanks

Download one of the finless roms. The readme contains a detailed guide. Just replace the finless rom img files with your stock rom files.
