How to go about rooting a NextBook 7? [Newbie]

Hello, totally a newbie to anything related in rooting, the tablet I have is a-

    Nextbook - Model# NEXT7P12-8G (7")
    AMLOGIC Single Core cortex 1ghz
    1GB DDR3
    8GB internal memory
    Andriod 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich

    Bought from Walmart in 2013
    -
Now the reason for me wanting to root this device is that the main internal memory that it installs the Apps to is just to ridiculously small. I'm wondering if I root this (I don't know how so I'm asking how :P) Can I somehow change it where the apps will install to Internal SD Card (6.31GB) instead of the app storage area (Which has only 401MB of space).

I don't even know if that's possible So maybe someone could help me out a bit.

Edit; Don't know if this helps anymore but my instruction manual shows that my tablet is a Premium 7 SE

I'd suggest getting my TWRP Recovery from here (which runs from external SD without installing it):
    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?12618-TWRP-Recovery-with-UBIFS-Support-For-Amlogic-Nextbook-Tablets-(Download-Thread)

Then use TWRP to install one of my pre-rooted ROMs from here:
    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?11651-ShaunMT-s-Modified-Stock-Based-ROMs-for-Amlogic-Nextbooks-(Download-Thread)

Just be sure you read the instructions in the threads and check your board model because Nextbook used two different boards inside this model and there are two different recoveries and ROMs. Using the wrong TWRP version or flashing the wrong ROM, will result in a bricked tablet. The fix for these can be very frustrating to achieve.

Easiest way is to download any build.prop editor app from the play store.

The links I referred you to include instructions regarding which build.prop values to check and how to compare them to the file names of the different download versions.

Alright now that I have my tablet Rooted and I have added SuperSU and Root Explorer. I have to get to my original goal, finding a way to increase the App Storage size where I can install big apps.

Just the question of doing that is unknown to me :P

You should have asked that first...

Ive got bad new for you....

Unfortunately you cant just change a config file and reflash these to change sizes...

the partition sizes, locations and filesystems are hard coded inside the kernel on these...

The device specific source code for these isnt availabe, so you would have to find source code for a similar model, modify it to support your model, then build a new custom kernel...

To the best of my knowledge no one has done this for any of the amlogic based tablets... its not very easy especially with the lack of official source code and documentation...

                Any ideas ShaunMT?

Some can move to sdcard and some cant.

None will move to external sdcard. Android doesnt fully support devices with more than one sdcard.

You can switch the mountpoints between the internal and external sdcards. This would normally require a custom boot img but there might be apps that can do it on rooted devices.
