How to enable Hd graphic effects on games with M8?

I'm running Finless 1.8 on my M8 Tomato square and need help with a game, N.O.V.A. 3
The game installed just fine and even detected the Wamo/G910 BT controller just fine.
My problem is that the game in itself just plays fine, but it plays without effects. It does have particle effects like smoke and lighting as well.
I couldn't get the game to enable it. The fixes for it was to install "Chainfire 3D" but the app caused bootloop, so I reflashed backup(Thanks to Abdul and Twrp).

I had other problems as well which I overcame like moving large games to sd via "foldermount" and a interesting overheat problem with High graphic games like Aphalt 8 etc. This was easily overcame with a laptop cooling pad. We live in a very warm environment and I could normally play game for 45min to an hour then M8 crashes. Didn't crash on any 1080P in xbmc for hours, but in games it did. I noticed evenings I could play longer, but since the coolingpad,I could play for hours on end until I got tired of playing

So back to my problem of enabling Hd effects, I think our boxes is capable of rendering those effects, but it's beyond me.
The solutions I found thus far is here(though it didn't work for me):

All of them required the Chainfire3D fix, but that throws our boxes in a bootloop, so be careful and make a backup

And thanks to Bob for the spoofing of M8 as Nexus10, the result of edited build.prop is that we don't get "device not compatible" error on games So that problem solved
I think the problem maybe lies with how the game detects gfx chip or "spoof" ,I'm not sure(could it be kernel related?).

If the solution for the above guys is that you only needed the chainfire CF3D driver to get it working then it could be how the game detects the Mali chip's driver and if so could it be modded?

Is there anyone out there that can work on a solution for us(will be greatly appreciated). That is the only thing standing in my way, from there I can market it as a proper gaming console as well

Try GLTools app from play store. It's the spiritual successor of Chainfire 3d. Perhaps spoofing GPU to Tegra or Powervr544 can help.

Thanks skelton, I installed GlTools from Playstore and tried Tegra2,3,4 and Powervr544 .I saw the game crash with "force 16bit rendering". I then only faked the gpu's .The game started, but no extra gfx effects. I did notice that I had to reboot device to let the changes take effect.
I know this by installing cpuZ and spoofed the tegra's for cpuZ as well. It only showed changes after boot and didn't do it in realtime.

I feel I'm closer already to the solution, but due to lack of knowledge of GlTools and inner workings of gfx chip, I think I hit a wall for now
Your input to my problem is really valued, thanks for replying on my post

ok,decided to uninstall and try deadfinger2,wanna see the power of the mali chip
