==EDIT, solved== Not sure if the exact problem was what I thought, but it seems it was related to the display settings. I accidentally fixed it clicking random things so I can't give a writeup how to fix it, but for anyone finding this later with a similar problem it is fixable.

Grayscale rolling image on s89-h when using composite out
I bought one of these boxes for use with a TV that only has a composite input (well, coax too but that of course doesn't help here). I power it up and the image is gray and rolling. If I recall correctly that's what it looks like when you try to display a PAL signal on an NTSC TV, though I could be wrong. I cannot read the majority of the text to see if there is a way to change that if it is the problem. If need be I could probably take it somewhere with an HDMI input display, but if possible to fix without doing so I would prefer that. If it is possible to fix could someone show the settings screens, or possibly give the number of clicks in what direction with the remote?

For anyone else having this issue the setting to change (if you can read it) is CVBS Mode Setting under Settings -> Display, third option down with the first two unselectable when on composite, so first one if you click down. If it's rolling too much to read, from an initial, out of the box, start up: Wait for the device to finish booting, a box will come up which is the launcher selection screen as there are two installed. The default selected should be the Mediabox Launcher so press OK on the remote to launch that. From there select Settings which is all the way on the right, should be two clicks that way then OK. Display is the second category so press right, then down to the aforementioned CVBS, OK, then change from 576 to 480 by pressing up, OK again and it should switch modes and be a still image, in color, asking if you want to keep the settings. This of course applies only to this specific model running this specific firmware and I make no guarantees it will work for any other model or firmware, and as such should be taken with a grain of salt on any other combo. This writeup was written using Finless 1.9 as a reference but I am almost certain it didn't change from the stock firmware which I think was 108k something or somesuch. If you're on a PAL TV and it is doing something similar because it somehow defaulted to NTSC on yours (unlikely I think, but may be possible) it should theoretically apply for you, instead pressing down instead of up in the CVBS selection box
