Hi,
Which is the latest and the best firmware for this android box, it is choppy when playing xbmc 1080p and is also very laggy in the menus of xbmc. I would like it if everything would work wifi/bluetooth etc.

It has bluetooth

To install the firmware wil I need to change kernel too? Will I need to erase all data on the device?

It comes with RTL8723 kernel, so only flash firmware.
You will loose everything already on device.
It is one firmware file, click restore in RK Flash Tool v1.7, it erases automatically.

You have to connect to OTG port and laptop USB port.
Device also has to be powered with power supply.
You hold in the reset button on the bottom of the device, it will ask for drivers, select the ones in the flash tool folder or http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11/...-windows-xp78/
Then you can flash with the flash tool.
