    M8 Audio Bug/Band-Aid

    Previously posted?

This could be specific to my setup (TV/HDMI) or to the M8 in general...

Issue: After a power cycle audio output is lost. The fix is rather simple, but annoying. Simply enter Settings> & move cursor along the menu. This should activate the audio.

    Any suggestions ??? Thanks!

...guessing this could be an HDMI issue. I have tried to test this issue with 3 different HDMI cords and two different HDTV's. Same result...

Never posted before here, so had to register to reply, and say that I do as well
First time I ever had issues with it was with the Finless 1.8 Beta frankenrom, and the final 1.8 as well.
I have the box hooked up to a Yamaha receiver though, that has always been picky about HDMI input signal type. But audio would even stop after an hour or so of playback sometimes.
Turning the receiver off and on sometimes made audio come back, sometimes not.
The only other thing that was changed for me was setting the video to 1080p24. Never thought about it anymore after that.
For me, setting the video back to 1080p60 instead of 1080p24 resolved the audio issues.
I'm not sure if you have it on 1080p24, but it might be worth it to change output frequency to something else.

thanks...I will try that. I do wonder if it is strictly with the HDMI. And the only time that the audio is not working in my circumstance is after a reboot. Will have to assume that this issue will vary depending on the HDMI cable and or device it is attached to.
