    Quick Newbie Question.....

Hi, i'd appreciate a bit of really basic advice, just purchased an M8 Amlogic box off fleabay (see link below), since it arrived i've found that its un-rooted and just a basic setup with XBMC.
After a scout around the internet i'm looking to upgrade the firmware to Finless 1.8, would this be a good move and would it automatically root the box and give me installed apps for stuff like 1channel, ice films & sport etc etc

any pointers would be really appreciated along my learning curve

    cheers, C

Yes, you are also right, but I laugh about the idea "try it, and if something went wrong => warranty"

                      Tell me about it

we are following the forums daily, remember how many users admitted that they're gonna post bricked boxes back to the sellers after installing wrong FW .

so, i'm assuming that i have a 'clone' box, what is a decent price for a genuine box and are there any reliable resellers that people have used ??

many Aussie on a forum have been done by this "what a bargain listing"

and they still think they have a bargian till it never arrives

there will always be bargain hunters and there will always be suckers lol

                            Very similar to mine...
To be honest, only XBMC gives problems. Other than that, works like a charm. Is that a box fault or XBMC's?
