MK908 v5 Soft Bricked....ish

So i've been desperately trying to get linux on my MK908v5. I see an Ubuntu tread just a few posts below this one. In any case i've managed to do something very strange to this little monster.

I upgraded to finless 1.8 - Worked Great
Then tried to go to linuxium on sd using Linuxium's Well written instructions.

Upon flashing the bin folder contents:
linuxium-boot
linuxium-kernel
linuxium-parameter
linuxium-recovery
RK3188Loader(L)V2.07.bin
system
It is now soft bricked.
Bootloader Mode BOOTS FINE

However i can no longer flash finless or anything besides the bin contents.

All other kernel/system/boot/recovery images "Failed image Download"

I've got no idea how to get things flashing again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just want some lubuntu!

Well i tried PicUntu just to see if something would bring it back to the living...

I think it is now hard bricked. It does nothing. I removed the heatsink and tried shorting pints 8+9 and still nothing at all.

It's dead?

Once i dig out the second one of these whats the best way to get some linux distro on it?
