Another Netflix Thread; fixes and problems

Hi,

I had my x8h for a little over a week now and out of the box Netflix was pretty bad, I dont care about HD playback. just stable playback would be fine...

My first problem was that the unit rebooted after each episode, this was fixed by using the Finless 1.0 ROM

The second issue is with playback and the issue I am still battling; on the stock rom I would get occasional stutters with both audio and video, particularly if I used subtitles or CC
On Finless the problem is less frequent but more obviously audio related, as I get an occasional audio stop and the video stops with it, is very fast and intermittent but it doesn't happen for as long or as often as it did on the stock rom.

I am using nothing complicated, just HDMI to a 720p TV. Using 5ghz Wifi and I am 1.5m from my router (nothing between them, IE they have line of sight), oh and the box does not seem very warm.

I am wondering if there is an older version of netflix I should be using? or something else I can do to stop this annoying glitch

I also use stock XBMC (13.2) to stream from PC's and my NAS without any issues so far.

I applied this combination of Minix Beta ROM and Finless's CPU Fixes to alleviate 90% of Netflix's issues. Video is still not smooth (occasional bump) but in general it as as good as I can get it for now:

from looks of it the new sdk address Netflix but I havn't seen any public rom rls for this sdk

AML release the latest sdk on 8/23..

Other than this little bump, I am very happy with the x8h box. Steaming 4gb+ 1080p mkv files from any PC or my NAS like a breeze
