Ugoos 2 UT2 flashing?

Hi,

I brought a Ugoos 2 UT2 sometime ago, and its never been amazing. After reading some of the threads on here I have a feeling i don't have a "real" ugoos 2 UT2.

Any how i'm really having problems trying to flash it.

I'm tried using RKBatchTool and RKAndroid tool but i can never seem to get the device to appear.

Should I be attempting to flash the device while still booted into android or should i be in recovery mode? The reset button the back of my ugoos 2 seems to not really do much although i can get it into recovery by using the shell within android.

Is there another to flash the device without using RK batch? i've flash various nexus devices and it was really easy.

I've tried to flash the device with an x64 windows 8.1 and x86 Windows xp but i can't detect the device.

Any tips or advice?

Make sure your USB cable is fully inserted at the UT2. Some USB cables to not go all the way in because the rubber casing is too long and needs a little trimming. The stock cable should work fine just make sure it's fully inserted.

I can get windows to detect the device as a USB mass storage if I enable it. Although I assume that's not what I should be doing.

I can't get a driver to install when the device is in recovery however. Is there something special I should be doing?

Try this.
Open the flashtool in your PC.
Unplug every cable from the box.
Connect the USB otg cable only to the PC.
Press and keep pressed the reset button. Connect the OTG cable to the box while holding the pressed reset button. Keep it pressed until the PC/Flashtool detects the box.

Flash the FW.
