Wifi Modem Noise WTF?

So just recently my Next7p, idk if its the 8g or 4g ( it has the 8g board, but only 4gb of internal memory) I think its a hodgepodge, anyway it iust recently started making modem noise. Yup, that noise we all thought went the way of the dinosaur years ago, bit its different. Its softly muted and static like. I confirmed it was modem noise by turning off the wifi, it stops. Anyone have any ideas why this is doing this or how to stop it? I'm about to murder my tablet.....
