How to add apps to home screen?

I apologize if this has been answered but I couldn't find anything through search.

I'm using Finless 1.8 with the Android launcher. I'd like to be able to put app shortcuts on the home page but can't figure out how to do it.

Re android lancher:
when you are in the applications menu , long press on the app that you want to paste to homepage, it will return to home page giving u the option on whereabouts u want to paste it.

haha nice, not sure... I never use the remote myself, first thing i purchased was a wirelss mouse

I use a TSM-01. Just left-click and hold it.

Thanks guys. I got it to work with my Rii i8 mini keyboard. I was originally selecting the icon by scrolling to it before doing the press and hold. I found out I have to point the cursor at the icon then press and hold works.

Now it's all good.
