M8 Android TV Box

I just purchased an M8 Android TV Box Quad Core. I loaded XBMC on it and the problem is it shuts off when I am in XBMC. I can't get any video when I go to movies only audio. Is there an update for this box that I need to install? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
