    Power on/off/standby

Hopefully, this isn't a repeat...there must be a way to turn off this box via remote. Anyone having luck with this??

I should have been more specific. I realize that an app can bring up a menu to power off the box, but I would like to know if the standard remote(or any remote) can be used to power off the device by simply pressing a button on the remote. Maybe, a shortcut could be created and button mapped?

Don’t know exactly what power off means but my box stays dead cool if turned off with supplied remote – as if it is really powered off but in fact it in sleep / deep sleep mode (not sure exactly in what mode the box stays).

If the box is dead cool, the power consumption cannot be higher than 0,5W or so, but never measured it.

There’s no other reason to turn off this box, or there is?

Thank you for clarifying. I will take a closer look at this. From a glance, it appeared it was staying on due to the (blue) light that remains lit.

My blue light turns off as it should but there is no red light some talk about. I repeat, mine is not original as defined in this forum.

@JustMe Nice idea...I will be trying those methods. Light is just too bright! Would be great if an update would include the light turning off during sleep mode...if possible.
