Brainstorming – M8 ‘clones’ – XBMC apk

Let’s try to be logic…


If a firmware runs smoothly on M8 box, why XBMC runs well with some and lousy with others?
Is this a matter of content been played? Don’t we all get the content from the same places?
Is this a matter of ‘clones’? If so, why does the firmware runs ok with ALL other apk?

Just curious, those who have a XBMC running ok, do you use:

1. Directly connect media (USB disk?)?
   
2. Do you use some kind of NAS? Via NFS or SMB?
   
3. Do you use a DLNA server?

I would like to hear from you but please state is that’s an opinion or a fact (you know for sure because you tested it).

You say Clones like these boxes are made by some big manufacturer or brand when they are not, there are many manufacturers using many firmwares so when something has been tweaked to work smoothly on one it obviously will not always work as well with others.
Does not mean the box is of any better or worse quality

Sorry, I didn’t get it…
I didn’t mention small/big manufacturer, nor bad/good boxes…



My point is exactly the opposite – if a firmware “X” works fine in my box with ALL apk’s I have, why not so with XBMC?


I accept the fact a different firmware from a different manufacturer could/will malfunction. But I have a hard time trying to understand why it runs ok but with XBMC!
