Help! Arnova 10 G2 Screen Problems

    Help! Arnova 10 G2 Screen Problems

    Hello,

    I need some help from you guys!

    When I was browsing on the web the screen just went strange, it looked like this:



    Is this a GPU fault ? I tried to reflash but no sucess!

    Now the tablet stays on, and I can't do anything because the screen is black!

    Any thoughts ? Should I return this to Arnova ?

    Someone can tell me how the warranty of Arnova works ?

    You might try flashing the stock ROM and see what it does. If you have the same problem, yes you have had a hardware failure.

      I flashed the stock firmware and the problem still remains.

      Well... I'm guessing that the only solution is to send it to RMA.

        Arnova have been replacing the 10G2 models with the new 10bG3 models for some people when sending them in for repair so I would not be to worried

          Got the Arnova RMA number yesterday and sent it right to them today!

          Have you any experience on any previous RMA ? How long does it usually take ?

              From what I can tell, they already receive the tablet 2 days ago, but they didn't tell me anything.


              Also, the RMA page doesn't show up me anything.


              Is this the normal procedure ?

                The Rma did not show up for me either. I would not worry

                  They still haven't send my tablet back! I can't believe a RMA is taking so much time...

                  I also send them a email, which they replied that are waiting for spare parts.

                    have you had yours back yet?
                    mine has gone to southampton for repair, and shows as received on 25th sept....they did email 2 days later to say that they couldnt replicate the issue i had identified, but not heard anything since they said they were putting back in testing.

                    incidentally it shows current status on the arnova website, but not on the archos site which they sent me the link to!

                    my issue is that screen is non responsive. i flash it and sometimes it works fine for an hour, then other times i flash and screen wont reconise any touch, so cant even start to set it up...tried differnet ROMs so went back to stock with same problem so assumed hardware issue.

                      No. Like I said they replied to me that, they are waiting for the spare parts... Since that email I haven't heard anything from them...

                      Very bad and slow rma service.

                              Wow... The service in the UK is fast. I can't say the same about the French one...

                              They only replied my first mail. Also, I can't believe that they don't have any phone number..
