Amazon fire tv or minix 8h?

Hi,
have the minix but not 100% happy because some bugs and the interface.
My main use is xbmc, will fire tv be as good or better ???

You cant root the latest firmware. So forget XBMC at the moment.

I 'side loaded' XBMC on a friend's Fire TV a few months ago and it did not require root. I'm sure that my friend would of let me know if it stopped working.

No root required for XBMC you can side load a number of apps i do i have the firefox, vudu, wifi analyzer, xbmc and a couple others. Works great its my fav box so far. I think partially because i use netflix and like the HD and i use amazon prime and its not available in any other box

Same deal here in AU...Netflix great and other apps, works well and yes it really does not need a root you can side load as mentioned heaps of stuff if required, it just works

That's why I like it plus they keep adding TV apps to it all the time besides what's in Xbmc.
