You can read my first post in his forum.
I think we have the same board number ?

Please can you make a ROM restore of your board and link it here:
        xxxx

To make it easier on you, to dump the rom, see this thread, and post #61 in particular, I have found that this is the easiest way to dump a rom.

It will give you the stuff you need to do a backup and you can zip it and send it to CS918 using dropbox.

It's also a handy way to keep a backup of yours in case you flash something and need an original.

If 'K-RK3188-V4.3' without BlueTooth => no known custom rom and I think also no known stock rom (the shown pcb above seams to have BT)...

search for e.g. "K-RK3188-V4.3 freaktab" at google (without ") and look what you find...

BTW: the flashing process don't know anything about the build-in HW (e.g. wifi-chip and use LCD-port (there exist 2 at this SoC)) so no errors during the flashing process only means that this process runs fine...

So, with the same board number we can have an uncountable permutation of
many differences. Not included the different jumper settings and solder jumper settings.

I think its not only a problem of a wrong LCD Version, no Screen.
              It's no boot at all.
              No access to USB-Stick LED.
No access to frontpanel push button.

It's GTF (goto forest) command after the first couple boot sequence lines, I ponder.
There are 3 pads (with holes) at the board frontside.
I hope this is a RS-232: TxD, RxD, GND my/a litte Comx.
(will connect a scope and later my RS-232 socket.)
Maybe some output while booting until GTF.

              Is it a RS-232 ?:
              ------------------
              The CS918 board K-RK3188-V4.3.
              3 Pins in a row.
Looked from On/Off button at frontside.
              Today I connected a scope.
              Most right Pin is: GND
First-left Pin is: I'm a bit shure it is: RxD
Middle Pin is second Pin is: TxD
There are toggle signals at TxD when booting.
The signals are TTL; shure: 0 volt to 3,5 Volt pulsing.
One bit length is approcs. 10 us, so we should use 115.000 baud
Tomorrow I will connect an RS-232-TTL connector
Some toggle signals when I insert the USB Stick or keyboard or TV-Commander.

              more questions:
              ---------------
is it UART-0 of the CPU or which one: ???
Is it a boot sequence: ???
Can you dig deep into Flash boot-loader sequences: ???
Can you call another primary boot-loader by a menue: ???
So you can dig very deep.

                    Steps:
                    ------
Please save your ROM first. Your complete Flash.

Please use Windows 7 or XP:

                    Download:
                    kernel-wasser-t_r42_new-1.2.5.zip
                    firmware-wasser-1.2.5.zip

connect cable CS918 USB micro to PC USB.
Install USB drivers for CS918 on PC.

Connect micro USB cable to USB-PC.

Press button on bottom case of CS918 for approcs. 4 seconds.

Did the Windows Device Manager show: Class for rockusb device: yes ok continue. no: driver installation failed.

                    Start: RKAndroidTool.exe
bottom line shows: Found RKAndroid rock usb. ok: continue
If bottom line shows: No Found RKAndroid rock usb. You have an USB driver problem.

                    In the RKAdroidTool.exe menue:
                    rename: boot.img to: boot-1080p.img
                    rename: kernel.img to: kernel-1080p-t-r42-new.img

press button: Erase IDB; OK ?
press button: Run; wait end of protocol, Run ok: without errors ?

                    End. Restart CS918

Here at post #2 you will find the driver and tool for flashing:

                        "Release_DriverAssitant" and "AndroidTool_Release_v2.3"
At post #1 at picture one and two you can see how to flash a hole image at one IMG file...
Because your K-RK3188-V4.3 pcb also have BT, normally you can use the wasser T-R42 (NEW) firmware at the other sub-forum:

If you want to dump your fw (and I mention it so you have your original stock firmware as something went wrong) have a look at:

(the howto exists at the download, you can also handle it with the v2.3)
Maybe also have a look at my sig " DUMP STOCK-ROM . & . BUILD UP FLASHABLE IMAGE"
