    XBMC Codecs

    Somewhere here it is mentioned that the Minix version of XBMC is optimised for the AMLogic chipset with regards to hardware acceleration/decoding etc. Does that mean that it is better than something like "Beyond XBMC" which is also recommended here in another thread? I am new to the X8 and Android in general and there are so many options it's confusing the hell out of me

    I have installed the Beta8 software and the Finless Tweaker so far. Would also like to know the purpose of the CPU tweaks in the Tweeker. They only seem to change the minimum speed, not max so don't really get it Thanks

    change the minimum speed so it exist at that moment it is need and use all 4 cores...

      Ah, so i has to do with activating all the cores. Sounds good I may have to sit the box on a bed of dry ice though as it already gets quite warm

        not for minix x8, but for s802 (oman's and stane's) and that's the important point, because minix isn't something special ...

          some s802's have the mali 400 and some have the mali 450 so I wasn't sure if that is important. maybe the mali450 has some features that the 400 doesn't and being optimised for that is a little better?

            S802 only knows 'Octo Core Mali-450', never heard about a S802 with 'Dual Core Mali-400' ...
