Ethernet and Spotify download for offline problem

If I use ethernet network and open spotify and try to download a playlist for offline use it says "waiting to download" and doesn't do anything, I can however still play songs normally so internet connection is fine.

However I noticed if I switch to wifi network it will download playlists fine? (I also noticed that the m8 box will not show up under devices on the desktop spotify pc client until I use wifi mode either)

I have set spotify to download over cellular but still no luck, I assume it is checking for a wifi mac address or something and not finding it?

Does anyone else have this problem? (I had the problem on the stock rom and also today just installed Stane1983 firmware with the same problem)

    That's a generally WiFi/Ethernet compatibility problem of many app's...
There also exist app's which doesn't work at Ethernet, only at WiFi...
It's an app issue (wrong implementation) and not an android issue...
(At the past Android was designed for mobile devices without Ethernet and because of that, Ethernet is a little bit different implemented to Android...)

I though it would be, I also posted on the spotify forum but didnt get any usefull reply, is there some way to fake out the app to use ethernet normally? perhaps just supply wifi details the same as ethernet ?

hehehe, believe me, I try to 'map' WiFi to Ethernet (others too) but find no way...
