I have 3 questions for the minix neo X8-H, please

Hello everyone, I received my box "minix neo X8-H" and I'm with the original ROM ( + ROOT) .

Overall all works fine, except:

- navi-x with "xbmc-13.1-Gotham-4K-video-2160P-output"
- audio 5.1
- adobe flash ( with dolphin,jetpack and adobe flash, does not work ).

I also have 3 questions if anyone can answer me:

1) It is possible to temporarily change, the name of the box "minix neo X8-H" in nexus 10 ?
2) To install the original ROM format IMG, you must use the software "USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.1_x86"
or may be used other methods ?
3) Does the ROM of FINLESS or WASSER is stable for you ( Is it better than the original ROM ) ?

How you install the firmware .IMG , with recovery or the app in menu minix ?

you can tell, the step by step.

I searched all forums but I is not found how installed,
the firmware .IMG via carte SD.

hi gjs999, I install the ROM :

- Finless 1.0 ROM for the Minix X8
- NEW - Finless ROM "tweaker" for the Neo X8 stock ROM BETA 008
- update_spoof_nexus10.zip

All works well, adobe flash works too.

A big thank you to finless for his work.

To install the original ROM in extension .IMG, I think it is not possible via SD card.
( maybe I'm wrong )


Instruction finless ( FOR INSTALL UPDATE ONLY ) :

Option 1:
1) Copy all the files from this ZIP onto the SDcard you should have:
factory_update_param.aml
(minix_x8_stock_beta8.zip)
recovery.img
...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Option 2:
1) With the SDcard in your X8 go to APPS and you will see an Update APP. RUn this APP.
2) Click the select button and it should list the file (minix_x8_stock_beta8.zip). Select it.

Option 3:
You would use this if your system will not boot or #1 above doesn’t work.
Or just use this method as you can see what the installer script is doing and see any errors.
I prefer this method myself but it is a little harder as you have to use the reset button.
You will need a mouse plugged in to use the recovery menu.
1) Again make sure you do NOT have a OTG USB cable plugged in!
2) Have the (minix_x8_stock_beta8.zip) on a SDcard and have the SDcard in the X8.

Usb sticks works too if you don't have any SD cards
