Ultimate XBMC is not a new version of XBMC as such, it is setup that you just unzip to the folder location of your current xbmc folder - so any version of xbmc will work with it, at least on all the Windows and Android boxes etc I have tried it on, up to now.

You can get the free version at the end of the donate page buried in their small print

I would say you have some other kind of problem then, as I have it running on 2 Windows machines in the house and 2 Android boxes + have installed it on dozens more for people, with no issues.

Iplayer on m8 over wired Ethernet

FYI I have an m8 with finless rom.

i have got iplayer working over wired Ethernet using this xposed framework addin

The issue is the DRM protection 4od implemented, there is no way around it
